Community Produce Stands

Nutritious and delicious fruits & veggies for all

TF's effort to fight food waste and share surplus garden produce continues this summer as our Share-the-Bounty stands have again sprouted at the Anacortes Library, Harbor House, and the Anacortes Senior Center.

Hope your gardens are growing well!

The stands are once again ready to accept any extra garden goodies you can spare. Donors to the stands this year included Moondance Farm and the AMS garden project along with many individuals.

From June to October, anyone who craves free, locally-grown garden goodies can stop by the stands  and help themselves. Anyone is welcome to take whatever fresh food they can.

These are not easy times. Let's share our bounty with those among us who may not be able to access or afford fresh home-grown veggies and fruits.See you at the stands, and thanks for supporting our community!

You'll find the free produce stands at the entrances to the Anacortes Library, the Senior Center, and the Harbor House.

At the Harbor House, Warren Carr noted that “two residents said they were so happy to see the stand return – they were looking forward to the fresh produce when available.

“At the library, a man who appeared to be homeless said he'd wondered if we were doing the stands again this year, adding ‘every little bit helps.’
