Seed Threshing Event

The Fidalgo Seed Share (a project of Transition Fidalgo) will be hosting a FREE seed threshing event at the Creative Hub in Anacortes (501 Commercial Ave -- back patio) from 10am to Noon on October 11th.

Learn more about the life cycle of plants and how to clean seed without specialty equipment.

Come as you are to help clean seeds for next year's Seed Share display. You are also encouraged to bring any seeds you'd like to donate, dry seeds you've collected that need processing, as well as empty jars or containers to store the seeds until our packing party in January. 

We will have seed-saving enthusiasts on hand to answer questions and help you learn how to separate chaff from the seed, use screens, and various methods for successful cleaning and storage. Hope to see you there!
