TF&F Grants and Scholarships
TF&F is pleased to offer grants to Fidalgo Island students and school district projects. These grants are funded by community members giving specified donations for our scholarship program, not from general donations to TF&F.

- The Student Scholarship awards scholarships to local graduating seniors sharing the goals and values of TF&F. The amounts vary depending on specified donations received by TF&F for scholarships and the candidates graduating each year.
- The Anacortes School System Grant supports the development of environmentally-focused projects by Anacortes School District students (up to $1000 annually).
In 2020, we awarded two scholarships.
Grace Hill received a $1500 scholarship, presented by Board Vice-President Bud Anderson,
and Cali Swain a $500 scholarship, again presented by Board Vice-President Bud Anderson.

These donations were made possible by designated gifts from Fidalgo Island neighbors. Congratulations to our honorees!
In 2019, we awarded scholarship grants of $1000 each to very deserving Anacortes High School seniors Saville Feist and Alli Schuh. TF&F Board President Rich Bergner awarded the scholarships at a our May Monthly Gathering.

In 2016, TF&F awarded the Anacortes Woven Dreams Food Co-op a business incubator grant.
Eco-Business Awards
TF&F formerly bestowed Eco-Business awards to local businesses who strove to uphold sustainable practices and values, recognizing those in our community who made business decisions that protected our environment.
2016: Dr. Sarah Hill and Playhouse Dental, for ecological building design and solar energy.
2015: The Market, for the store’s efforts to buy local, to offer sustainably-caught fish, to recycle (even cooking oil), and to return money from donated bring-your-own bag credits to preserve Skagit farmlands ($4000).”
